Water Equipment Show 2022- Covid Policy

Welcome to the Water Equipment Show 2022 (WES2022).

The safety of all the personnel who attend the show is our highest priority and we are working with the Telford International Centre (TIC) to create a safe environment and to ensure that we comply with the appropriate government guidance on managing the risks of Covid-19.

Please be aware that government guidance can alter rapidly due to the changing characteristics and prevalence of the virus and therefore the appropriate safety measures applied at the show may have to be amended. The Pump Centre will use the most appropriate measures and guidance that are applicable at the time of the show.

It is important to remember that individuals attending the show will have differing attitudes to the risk of Covid infection, based on their own personal circumstances. The WES2022 will try to accommodate these individual attitudes and we ask all attendees to respect the choices taken by others.

WES2022 Covid safety measures – (as of February 2022)

At the time of writing this policy the UK Government has begun to set-out its long-term strategy for living with Coronavirus. The government acknowledges that we must remain cautious as the pandemic is not over yet, but we too must begin to learn to live with Covid, whilst taking the necessary precautionary measures to ensure that we keep ourselves and each other safe.

The measures we are putting in place are not compulsory but are recommendations that we ask all attendees to adhere to, where possible, for the benefit of the whole Water Equipment Show community.

1. Face masks

Whilst face masks are no longer mandatory, we encourage all attendees to take personal responsibility and to wear a face mask in situations when they are in close proximity to others. For example, at the registration desk, in the conference / breakout sessions, when queuing for refreshments.

We ask all attendees to bring along their own face mask, but we will make sure that complimentary face masks are available in the reception area for those who forget.

All TIC and Pump Centre staff, where appropriate, will wear face coverings within the public areas.

2. Social distancing

As a courtesy, we ask all attendees to respect the personal space of others by maintaining their distance whenever possible to avoid the formation of queues and crowds.

3. Hand gel

Hand gel stations will be made available throughout the exhibition hall to allow all attendees to regularly sanitise their hands.

4. Covid passes / proof of vaccination

Covid passes showing proof of full vaccination, or a recent negative test, will not be required.

5. Covid symptoms

Please avoid coming to the Show if you are generally unwell or exhibiting any of the symptoms associated with Covid.

6. Lateral Flow Tests

As a courtesy to others, if you are can, please take a lateral flow test the day before travelling to the Water Equipment Show and if this produces a positive result, please do not attend.

Please stay safe and healthy - we look forward to seeing you at WES2022!

Best regards
